Blessings--My Lauren
It came time to update my photos for my blog page, promo pics etc. UGH! Well, I don't like getting my picture made. Because I am getting older and while I embrace the aging process and love what comes with that I do have to look in the mirror. Getting those pictures made is so hard for me. Twenty years of my life I was told I was unattractive, ugly, no one wanted to see me, etc. So that voice is always in my head.
Easy part is this wonderful young lady who is my precious daughter in law!
She kept asking, and finally we found a day that worked for her schedule. She did my hair and makeup, and boy did she make me look good. I am saying all of this to say how blessed I am that God brought Lauren into my life. Through the year long struggle with CVST she has checked on me, stuck it out when she hasn't really had to.
Now, not just for me but she is there for others. She is a Pastor's wife and that comes with struggles of its own but she serves right alongside Tyler and gives of herself when I know there are times she would rather rest. She is an art teacher and she loves her students and gives just as selflessly at school and to the community. She is also a fabulous photographer! The most honorable part of all of Lauren is her self sacrifice.
I would love to see her on a big stage, acting, singing! You see, Lauren has the voice of an absolute Angel! Drama and theatre are her passion but she has for now, devoted her life to being a wife to Tyler and service for God. However, I pray that one day God has a plan for Lauren's dream to come true in theatre.
I do think of this scripture for Lauren especially during the crazy times of the year.
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 5:9 And one thing I know about you my girl, you do not give up.
I feel proud to say that, I'm your mother-in-law. Don't forget that, I'll always be there with open arms to comfort you if you lose or to cheer for you in your victory. You are such a wonderful person it would be impossible to measure the number of blessings you should get.
