Pneumonia, Flu Test, Covid Test, Blood Clot Grew --- It Is Well with my Soul
How many of you can say 2020 is looking like a year for the books? And we are just three months in!
I know I can. So many things going on. So much in the world we do not understand, and honestly, may never. But there is one thing we can be sure of and hold on to with every bit of strength you have in your body, and that is Jesus.
Well, this week has been my week for that. I have gripped!
My statement "You can not be a fair weather Christian in a turbulent storm! You need to be equipped. Because if it hasn't come...it's coming! SDB" All came in the matter of 24 hours.
I woke up Wednesday morning at 3:30 because my sweet Daddy had called because he wasn't feeling well. I called back at 6:30 and talked to the nurse and he was running a significant fever. So they were going to do a flu test. Now that same morning I was suppose to teach a Bible Study on what topic, why "God" of course on Facebook live, and at my age I am not tech savvy. So that went off the track fast. Thankfully, we quickly went to a zoom meeting. Finished that study and got back to my Dad. Well, by phone because we are all on a safe at home order. By then he had had an X ray and it was determined he had pneumonia and antibiotics were ordered. So back to Bible Study fopa, "can you do a video and upload it so the ladies who missed can watch?" And I said sure. Video is done but not uploaded yet! Internet too slow, so I'm getting a software to edit video's. Tell me I'm too old, huh!
So Thursday morning, it's my day to go for my MRI/Venogram to see if the Blood clot in my head has decreased. We have all prayed and prayed so I just knew that God had performed a miracle and it was gone. On my way I called to check on my Dad and his fever had gone down during the night and he was feeling much better, huge Praise but they were still going to do the Covid test and it would take 72 hours to get the results. So I'm on my merry way.
I get home, Charlie is working from home and I get a call by noon that says "Blood clot has increased, we are calling the Vanderbilt Stroke Clinic to get you in ASAP. If you have any symptoms go to the hospital immediately." WELL, that just took my breath away! So, I sat here in the quiet of my living room, thinking about the business of the past 24 hours. All that had gone on, how trivial life can be All I could think was Psalm 18:1-2 "I love You, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold."
Because you see, at the end of the day, when all is said and done . . . It is well, with my Soul!
